Numerous charges expected against prolific offender who tried to elude police in Abbotsford

MISSION — Police in Abbotsford say they expect to file numerous new charges after a police incident unfolded Friday morning involving a prolific property offender.

According to a social media post, police say a prolific property offender fled from Abbotsford Police Department frontline officers driving a truck and trailer.

Police say a spike belt was used to stop the truck, and RCMP Air 1, a police helicopter, provided support to enable AbbyPD to safely apprehend a man who was wanted on outstanding warrants.
