Over 55% of flood-damaged repairs complete on Silver Skagit Road south of Hope
HOPE — The provincial government says over 55 per cent of repairs to Silver Skagit Road are complete as contractors work to remediate the 13 remaining flood-damaged sites along the corridor south of Hope and Highway 1.
According to an update from the B.C. government, construction activities remain active along Silver Skagit Road through to October 15, 2025.
The B.C. government awarded the construction contract to Tuya Construction Ltd. on March 12, 2024. Repair work commenced the very next day and is now 58 per cent complete as of Monday, Aug. 11.
Construction will occur at sites 10.9 km., and continue from the 23-km mark to the 58-km mark.
