Motorcyclist dies after Sunday night collision on Highway 1 in Langley: RCMP
LANGLEY — Mounties in Langley have confirmed that a motorcyclist died after a motor vehicle collision Sunday night on Highway 1 between 248 Street and 264 Street.
According to a statement from police, emergency services personnel responded to a serious motor vehicle collision on westbound Hwy. 1 on Sunday night, Aug. 3 at about 8:22 p.m.
Police say that despite the prompt arrival of BC EHS paramedics and Township of Langley firefighters, coupled with life-saving measures being administered, the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Lower Mainland Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) attended to support BC Highway Patrol and the Langley RCMP in the investigation. As a result, westbound lanes of Highway 1 were closed for several hours while police examined the scene.
