ABBOTSFORD — The Abby Cat Daddy Feline Advocate Society is now gearing up to open its first brick-and-mortar space, which will house a thrift store, cat adoption centre and non-profit spay/neuter clinic.

To kick off the new place, the Abby Cat Daddy is calling on local businesses to join its “Change for Cats” campaign, where participating shops can offer customers the option to round up their purchase to the nearest dollar to support the rescue.

“We’re looking for shops, cafes, salons, and other businesses across the Fraser Valley to take part,” wrote the Abby Cat Daddy. “It’s an easy, no-cost way to show community spirit and help make a real difference in local animal welfare.”

Each donation adds up to support:

  • Accessible spay and neuter services for low-income pet guardians
  • Medical care and adoption for vulnerable cats
  • Essential supplies for community cat caregivers

Thrift store donations may be dropped off as early as mid-to-late August. The Abby Cat Daddy hopes to open the storefront, located on Bouquin Crescent across the street from Sevenoaks Mall, by early September.
