Chilliwack opens second half of BCHL season with victory over Langley

CHILLIWACK — The Chilliwack Chiefs struck for four goals in the opening period and cruised to a 4 – 2 victory over the Langley Rivermen Friday (Dec. 29) night at the Chilliwack Coliseum.

Savin Virk and Mateo Mrsic each scored twice in the first period onslaught. Virk finished the game with four points.

Vladimir Nikitin stopped 25 of 27 shots to post the victory in the Chilliwack net.

The Chiefs are in Merritt Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. to face the Centennials.
