Still time to register for Saturday’s Thanksgiving-themed Run for Hope in Hope
HOPE — The Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation invites Hope-area residents to lace up their sneakers and grab a turkey hat, if they can, because the foundation and the Auxiliary to the Fraser Canyon Hospital are presenting the Run for Hope this Saturday, October 14.
The foundation says this year’s event promises to be a gobble-tastic affair as it transforms into a festive Turkey Trot, complete with Thanksgiving-themed fun and a heartwarming charitable twist.
The “Run for Hope” is an annual 5K Run/Walk loop that starts and finishes at the Fraser Canyon Hospital. Participants will experience a scenic blend of road and trail running, taking them along the picturesque Coquihalla River, through the serene Thacker Park, and back to the hospital. Whether you are a seasoned runner, a leisurely walker, a jogger, or even a furry friend-loving dog walker, this event caters to everyone, making it a fantastic opportunity for families to come together for a day of active enjoyment.
In the spirit of giving back, this year’s event is also dedicated to supporting the IHEART outreach team in Hope. Participants are encouraged to bring food items such as peanut butter, granola bars, Gatorade, juice boxes, and water, which will be collected and donated to the IHEART initiative. This partnership aims to make a positive impact on the local community and spread love through nourishment.
