Man convicted of first-degree murder dies at Abbotsford prison

ABBOTSFORD — An inmate at a B-C correctional facility has died of apparent natural causes.
A statement from Correctional Service Canada says Clifford Maltby died on Thursday at the Pacific Institution in Abbotsford.
Officials say they are currently reviewing the circumstances of Maltby’s death.
At the time of his death, Maltby was serving an indeterminate sentence that began in November 1982 for first-degree murder, robbery and other offences.
