Traffic stalled after incident involving semi near Herrling Island

POPKUM — Drivers may have to make alternate driving plans after a motor vehicle incident in Popkum this afternoon, June 26.

Scanner traffic says crews were paged out to the scene on Highway 1 for an incident involving a semi at around 2:51 p.m.

DriveBC says the westbound road has since closed west of Exit 146 (Herrling Island Road).

First responders are on scene, and traffic control crews are en route at the time of writing.
