CHILLIWACK — The Chilliwack Museum and Archives will open up its stately building in downtown Chilliwack free to the public this week as a way to escape the sweltering heat.

Normally, the museum charges $7 for adults and $5 for seniors, but is waiving the fees this week so that Chilliwack residents can come inside to cool off.

According to a social media post, the museum (45820 Spadina Avenue) will be free to the public all week.

“It’s going to be a very hot week in Chilliwack! The Chilliwack Museum will be offering Free Admission all week if you are looking for a place to stay cool!” it wrote on Facebook Monday.
