Yard shed burns along Nowell Street in Chilliwack

CHILLIWACK — Firefighters from the Chilliwack Fire Department were called out to a shed fire Tuesday (Aug. 8) along Nowell Street. The fire broke out shortly after 3:30 p.m. and was extinguished in short order by fire crews.

The fire produced a large amount of black smoke that could be seen in parts of Chilliwack, however witnesses say the damage from the fire was limited primarily to the shed itself.

It’s not clear how the fire ignited and it doesn’t appear there any injuries occurred as a result of the blaze.
