He was reportedly arrested and was in custody, before being released sometime Wednesday (August 2). The victim who reported the frightening incident to police was not home at the time the man unlawfully entered and was unharmed. CHILLIWACK — A man has been arrested and already released after he unlawfully entered a home near Watson Road in Sardis.

According to a post on social media early Wednesday morning (August 2), a Chilliwack resident reported that a man unlawfully entered a home, remained inside for approximately two minutes, and then left the home.

The victim was not at home during the invasion and was unharmed.

Chilliwack RCMP Sgt. Krista Vrolyk confirmed in an emailed statement Thursday morning that Mounties were dispatched to a report of a break and enter in progress on Tuesday, August 1 at about 9:30 p.m. Sgt. Vrolyk did not identify the location of the break and enter.
