Candidates for BC byelections finalized

VANCOUVER — Both B-C byelections scheduled for later this month will have five names on the ballot.

Voters in the Greater Victoria riding of Langford-Juan de Fuca and in Vancouver-Mount Pleasant will cast their ballots on June 24.

Elections B-C says the New Democrats, B-C United, the B-C-Greens, Conservative Party and the Communist Party of B-C all have candidates in both byelections.

The Langford riding was held by former premier John Horgan who retired from politics earlier this year, while Mount Pleasant was held by former minister Melanie Mark who resigned. (The Canadian Press)
