Abbotsford confirms plans for Canada Day celebrations: invites performers and parade entries

ABBOTSFORD — The City of Abbotsford is inviting residents to become part of the Canada Day celebrations planned for the community on July 1.

Applications are being accepted for marketplace booths, performers, parade entries and volunteers. Applications can be submitted online by clicking here.

Civic officials are planning a parade, live entertainment, food trucks and a marketplace for the day-long celebration at Abbotsford Exhibition Park. There are also plans to provide a sensory-friendly zone as part of the celebrations.

City officials will award the Order of Abbotsford and will also hand out other civic recognition awards in the evening. The big birthday party will be capped off with a light show finale at 10 p.m.
