CHILLIWACK — Two standouts from the G.W. Graham senior varsity football program have been chosen to play in the CFC Prospect Game, a contest featuring the top 70 Canadian high school football prospects, later this month in Ottawa.

Brody Munro, an offensive tackle who has committed to play at the University of Alberta in 2024 on a full athletic scholarship, and Riley Ashley, a linebacker who contributed mightily to the Grizzlies defence, are slated to play in the game on Friday, May 26 at TD Place in Ottawa. The game will be televised by TSN.

The selection process included a cross-country tour visiting 10 cities featuring a professional combine that consisted of drills like the 40-yard dash, shuttle, vertical, and broad jump activities.

Munro maintained a formidable presence on the O-line for the Grizzlies, creating space and time for quarterback Lucas Feaver to throw for over 2,400 passing yards and 27 TDs. Munro, who stands 6’5″ and weighs 312 pounds, was a varsity captain and provincial AAA all-star.

“Blessed to have been selected to #TeamSanchez for the @CFCProspectGameon May 26th!!” Munro wrote on Twitter. “I will be wearing my favourite jersey number 65. The game will be televised on @TSN_Sports. Extremely excited!!!”

Munro carries a 3.7 grade point average.

Ashley, a 6-foot-2, 210-pound linebacker in the class of 2024, was an AAA conference all-star selection and a provincial finalist for the top lineman award.
