Another teen driver busted by Abbotsford Police, gets parent’s Mercedes impounded
ABBOTSFORD — A Fraser Valley teenager will have to live with the consequences of reckless driving after being observed by Abbotsford Police early Monday morning (March 13) at 100 kilometers over a posted speed limit in a luxury vehicle owned by his parent(s).
In a tweet from the Abbotsford Police Department, patrol officers were conducting traffic enforcement just after 1 a.m. Monday when a 17-year-old class 7 N driver was seen driving 150 kilometers in a 50-kilometre zone.
Police said the driver committed a series of motor vehicle infractions, resulting in over $1,000 fines issued. The driver’s parent’s vehicle was subsequently impounded.
“The rain doesn’t stop our patrol officers from conducting traffic enforcement,” Abbotsford Police added in its tweet.
