Chilliwack-area residents asked to nominate their family doctor for yearly award
CHILLIWACK — Dr. Josh Greggain was the last Chilliwack-area doctor to receive the My Family Doctor Award from the B.C. College of Family Physicians, an honour that reinforced his commitment to meeting the needs of rural, underserved and Indigenous communities in the eastern Fraser Valley.
In the same way that Greggain, a former Chilliwack resident who is now the president of Doctors of B.C. for a one-year term, was nominated by his patients for the prestigious award and won the accolade in 2021, the Chilliwack Division of Family Practice is again inviting Chilliwack-area residents to nominate their family doctor.
The Chilliwack Division of Family Practice is a non-profit society that represents family physicians.
The My Family Doctor Award provides British Columbians with the opportunity to recognize and honour their own family doctors who go the extra mile, listen intently, and practise sound medicine. The award is intended to celebrate the doctor-patient relationship that supports good health.
