Resident allegedly pulls out gun in neighbour dispute about bears: Hope RCMP
HOPE — Hope Mounties continue to investigate after neighbourly beef led to a now-seized piece, according to the detachment’s biweekly snapshot.
Between August 31 and September 13, investigators say an argument ensued after a motorist reportedly aggravated two bears in a backyard being watched by residents.
The argument escalated into a physical fight between the two parties, and witnesses reported seeing one of them pull out a gun, which a bystander took away before police arrived.
Officers have since seized the firearm believed to be involved.
