$33M Agassiz-Rosedale Bridge upgrades expected to start Monday

AGASSIZ — Crews are set to upgrade travel for the nearly 15,000 vehicles that drive daily across the Agassiz-Rosedale Bridge this fall.

The province has awarded a $33 million contract to B.C.-based Graham Infrastructure LP to address the bridge’s deteriorating structural steel and concrete, as well as improve drainage and extend its service life by roughly half a century.

“The Agassiz-Rosedale Bridge is an important connection for people, goods and communities in the Fraser Valley,” said the Ministry of Transportation and Transit. “These upgrades will help maintain this vital connection and support safer, more reliable travel for decades to come.”

Some bridge deck work will require single-lane alternating traffic scheduled overnight between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. on weekdays and up to 8 a.m. on weekends.
