Canada Post issues yellow delivery alert for Chilliwack, Hope

CHILLIWACK — Some residents may have to wait a little longer for their mail amid wildfire conditions in parts of the region.

Canada Post has issued a yellow delivery service alert for Chilliwack and Hope today (Aug. 21), due to fires and poor air quality affecting mail and parcel delivery in B.C.

“A yellow service alert means we are going to do our best to deliver, but there may be delays,” said Canada Post. “Delivery will resume once conditions improve and it’s safe to do so.”

Summerland and Penticton are under a red delivery alert, which means complete service suspension for the day.
