Work to be held on Watson Road next week for deep sanitary main connection
CHILLIWACK — Drivers in Chilliwack may need to take a detour next week as work continues on the Watson Road reconstruction and widening project.
Starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, August 24, a 24-hour road closure is set to begin on Watson from Garrison Boulevard to Miller Drive to support crews in completing a connection to the deep sanitary main.
There will be a detour in place during the closure, via Garrison, Keith Wilson Road and Vedder Road.
“The work requires an open trench in the roadway, leaving insufficient space for vehicles to safely pass the work area,” said the City of Chilliwack. “The closure is necessary to provide a safe environment for both the construction crews and the travelling public.”
