CHILLIWACK — One patient is now in hospital after a serious collision on Chilliwack roads today.

BC Emergency Health Services responded to a call at 10:58 a.m. Friday (Mar. 6) about a motor vehicle incident in the 45500 block of Yale Road.

“An ambulance with primary care paramedics and an ambulance with advanced care paramedics responded to the scene,” said BCEHS Paramedic Public Information Officer Brian Twaites.

Paramedics then treated one patient, who was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Nearby motorists reported that a person on a scooter was hit at the entrance near the Canton Garden Restaurant, reducing traffic to a single lane by 11:30 a.m. A car with a smashed windshield was also spotted at the restaurant’s back parking lot.

Similarly, eyewitness Tyler Man told Fraser Valley Today about a fender bender possibly involving a Bronco Sport and a silver vehicle occurring in the area around the same time.

One of the vehicles appeared to have its front bumper dragging on the ground and had to get towed.

More information will be added as it becomes available.
