CHILLIWACK — A family-owned restaurant in B.C. that began in Northern British Columbia before relocating to Vancouver Island has expanded to the Fraser Valley with a new location in Chilliwack.

Jordan Porth from Happy Jack’s Restaurant tells Fraser Valley Today that the sit-down restaurant held a soft opening on Tuesday, December 9 and is now officially open for business featuring a full liquor license.

Happy Jack’s Restaurant occupies the former Original Joe’s at 302-8249 Eagle Landing Parkway, across from Galaxy Cinemas. Happy Jack’s Restaurant hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.

“Happy Jack’s is a family-owned BC restaurant that began in Northern B.C. in a small town called Houston before relocating to Vancouver Island and has recently expanded to the Fraser Valley with our second location at Eagle Landing,” Porth said. “Our restaurant offers a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere with approachable comfort food and drinks, designed to be an enjoyable gathering place for families, friends, and the local community.”

For lunch and dinner, Happy Jack’s will serve menu items like garlic dry ribs, pulled pork poutine, firetruck nachos, wings, salads, wraps, tonnes of different hamburgers, fish and chips, bangers and mash, baby back ribs and a 6-ounce steak sandwich. It will feature a full dessert menu as well.

To better introduce itself to the community and welcome new customers, Porth says Happy Jack’s Restaurant is currently offering half-price wings from Tuesday, Dec. 23 through to New Year’s Day on January 1, along with daily drink and happy hour specials. They’ll also be launching official daily food specials starting January 2.

“We’re genuinely excited to be part of the Chilliwack community,” Porth said.
