UPDATE: Rustad clings to leadership role as 20 B.C. Conservative legislators call on him to leave
UPDATE, 3 P.M.: B.C. Conservative Party Leader John Rustad says he has not resigned. In a post on X/Twitter at 1:56 p.m., Rustad defiantly stated: “I have not resigned. I have not been removed, and I am not going anywhere. A political party’s board can throw around whatever creative terminology they like, ‘professional incapacitation.’ Give me a break. Let me be clear: That’s not a constitutional mechanism.”
