Langley Rams appoint new head coach, GM to multi-year contract
LANGLEY — The Langley Rams football organization announced Wednesday they have agreed to terms with Jesse Maddox as their new head coach and general manager.
“The Langley Rams are a proud organization with a storied history in the CJFL, and I’m excited to lead this program. I’m looking forward to getting things going and connecting with players,” Maddox said in a statement.
Maddox brings extensive experience from the Canadian Football League, CIS, Canadian Junior Football League, CMFL and the NCAA in the U.S. He hails from London, Ontario, and possesses a rich and diverse coaching background due to multiple levels of experience across Canada via roles as head coach, offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator and recruiting member.
His most recent coaching stints saw him take on vital roles in the CJFL with the Okanagan Sun and London Beefeaters and the CMFL/AFL Men’s Semi-Pro with the Fort McMurray Monarchs and Lloydminster Vandals. He previously worked at Western University as a recruiter and held down CFL scouting stints and multiple CFL guest coaching opportunities which included time at IMG Academy in Florida, free agent camps, and mini camps.
