Man pleads guilty to 2025 fatal stabbing outside Coquitlam pub
COQUITLAM — A Coquitlam man has now pleaded guilty to manslaughter after a fight led to the death of another outside a local pub early last year.
RCMP responded to the fight at the John B Pub at 1000 Austin Avenue on January 31, 2025, where a man was suffering life-threatening injury from a stabbing.
The 35-year-old later died on scene.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) took charge of the investigation, and the following day, prosecutors approved one count of second-degree murder against Timothy Vansnick.
