CHILLIWACK – Details are limited at this point, but police in Chilliwack have confirmed that a local RCMP officer was uninjured after their vehicle left the road and went over an embankment during the Thanksgiving weekend.

In a brief statement, Chilliwack RCMP spokesperson Corporal Carmen Kiener says a police car veered off Elk View Road and over an embankment on Sunday, October 11.

The incident occurred while the officer was responding to an emergency call.
