Public Safety Collaboration Hub to open at Abbotsford mall
ABBOTSFORD – The Abbotsford Police Department announced Tuesday morning that it has partnered with two other organizations to create an accessible community space designed to enhance public safety and support community well-being.
In a statement, AbbyPD spokesperson Sgt. Paul Walker says the Abbotsford Public Safety Collaboration Hub, a shared storefront located at Highstreet Shopping Centre, will feature a partnership among the AbbyPD, the Abbotsford Restorative Justice and Advocacy Association (ARJAA), and the Abbotsford Police Foundation (APF) under one roof.
“Public safety today requires more than traditional approaches. It requires creativity, strong partnerships, and services that are accessible and connected to the people we serve,” AbbyPD Chief Constable Colin Watson said. “The Abbotsford Public Safety Collaboration Hub is an example of what can be achieved when organizations come together with a shared commitment to community well-being and safety.”
Once it opens its doors as scheduled in January 2027, Sgt. Walker says the Hub will be a collaborative and accessible community space dedicated to enhancing public safety, supporting community well-being, and strengthening partnerships across Abbotsford.
