Pedestrian dies after being struck in Hope Wednesday night: RCMP

HOPE – Police in Hope have confirmed that a pedestrian died Wednesday night after being struck by a vehicle on a local highway.

Spokesperson Corporal Carmen Kiener says Hope RCMP responded to a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle on Highway 3/5 eastbound at approximately 8:38 p.m. last night.

On arrival, officers located a deceased pedestrian at the scene. Personnel from the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) attended and processed the scene, resulting in the closure of Highway 3/5 eastbound for several hours.
