Chilliwack RCMP hosting open house at detachment next week

CHILLIWACK — Residents are invited to learn more about the inner workings of the Chilliwack RCMP detachment at a family-friendly event next weekend.

Mounties are hosting an Open House from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, September 12, where visitors have a chance to tour the cell block, explore police cars and equipment, and meet local RCMP and first responder partners.

“The Open House is an opportunity to welcome the community into our detachment and connect in a relaxed environment,” said Inspector Harinder Kheleh, operations officer with the Chilliwack RCMP. 

“We want people to come in, ask questions, meet our members and partners, and get a better understanding of the work happening in their community.”
