A BC Emergency Health Services spokesperson told Fraser Valley Today in an email Thursday night that paramedics received a call at 4:50 p.m. about a motor vehicle incident on First Ave. near Young Road in Chilliwack.

“An ambulance with primary care paramedics, an ambulance with advanced care paramedics and an air ambulance with critical care paramedics responded,” a BC EHS spokesperson said. “Paramedics provided emergency medical treatment to one patient who was transported by ground and air ambulance to hospital in critical condition.”

“A truck was taking the turn (into the gas station) and the bike zoomed around the corner,” she said. “I was at the light when the bike went by.” Seconds later, she says she heard a bang.
