Surrey Police investigating yet another targeted shooting

SURREY – Police in Surrey are investigating yet another shooting believed to be a targeted hit.

According to a statement from Surrey Police Service, frontline officers were called to the area of 96 Avenue and 133A Street Thursday morning (June 11) at about 6:07 a.m.

On arrival, police located damage caused by gunfire to the exterior of the residence.

Police say the home was occupied at the time shots were fired. Fortunately, nobody was injured.

Police say the investigation is in its infancy stage and the motive for the shots fired is unknown, but it is suspected to be targeted. 

Police say SPS’s Major Crime Section (MCS) has taken over the lead on the investigation, and the Integrated Forensic Identification Services (IFIS) will be in the area processing physical and digital evidence.
