CHILLIWACK — The Chilliwack Dogwood Monarch Lions have made another big contribution to the region with a $75,000 donation to the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation (FVHCF).
The Club provided funds through its online bingo program, a nearly 30-year tradition that awards 40 per cent of proceeds back to the communities where the cards are purchased.
“Judging by the surprised expressions in the room, the Lion’s Club members were successful in keeping the donation amount a surprise until the big reveal,” said the FVHCF.
“We extend our heartfelt thanks to [the Dogwood Monarch Lions] and everyone who participated for making this remarkable contribution possible.”
