1 person airlifted after being found in medical distress following shooting in Langley: RCMP

LANGLEY – One person has been airlifted to hospital after Langley RCMP responded to a report of a possible gunshot injury in Langley Wednesday.

Langley RCMP spokesperson Constable Meghan Marsden says police were called to the area of 196 Street and 28 Avenue at approximately 5:04 p.m. Wednesday (June 3).

First responders from Langley RCMP, Langley Fire Rescue Service and B.C. Ambulance Service attended the area and found one person in medical distress who was airlifted from the scene.

“The individual was promptly transported to a local area hospital via air ambulance with serious injuries,” said Constable Meghan Marsden Media Relations officer for the Langley RCMP. “This investigation is in its infancy, and additional details will be made available at a later time.”
