Murder suspects with connections to Abbotsford, Chilliwack wanted for Ontario death in April

CHILLIWACK — Police in Ontario are on the lookout for two wanted murder suspects who have known connections in B.C., including Chilliwack and Abbotsford.

Officers with the Lanark County detachment were called out to Last Duel Park at around 3:15 p.m. on April 12, where one person was found with life-threatening injuries.

The victim, 34-year-old Ottawa resident Christo Allison Richards, was taken to a trauma centre and later pronounced dead.

Arrest warrants were then issued for 34-year-old Joseph Madore and Brayton Kennedy, 28, both of Ottawa.

They have since been charged with second-degree murder and remain at large.

Investigators believe Madore is currently in B.C. and has known connections in the Chilliwack, Abbotsford, Richmond and Terrace areas.

Kennedy may either be travelling with him or remains in Ottawa.

Police ask the public not to approach the suspects if seen.
