National skating champions coming to Chilliwack for Stars on Ice this spring

CHILLIWACK — Canadian figure skating stars are lacing up for more than the upcoming 2026 Winter Olympics this year.

Stars on Ice has now announced the addition of its new cast members this spring – fresh off the Canadian Figure Skating Championships.

The Olympian roster ranges from pair champions like Lia Pereira and Trennt Michaud, and Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier, to Madeline Schizas and Roman Sadovsky, who will be making his tour debut.

“As a pioneer in figure skating, [we continue] to offer fans throughout North America the rare opportunity to witness some of the world’s most accomplished and artistically gifted champions performing together in both individual and ensemble routines,” said Stars on Ice in a release.

Two-time silver medalist and three-time world champion Elvis Stojko will be anchoring the event.

Stars on Ice is set to descend at 6 p.m. on May 16 at the Chilliwack Coliseum arena.

The tour has been travelling around the country since 1991, with over 350 shows performed in the past 35 years.
