Original story below:

MISSION — Mounties in Mission are asking for the public’s help in finding the vehicle believed to be involved in a hit-and-run last Monday (Jan. 19).

Shortly before 2 a.m., a woman was riding her bike through the Petro-Canada station parking lot on 7th Avenue and Cedar Street when she was struck by a newer white Ford Bronco Sport.

The vehicle then left the scene.

CCTV footage shows the Bronco travelling eastbound on 7th Avenue, turned left onto the parking lot, then cut through the lot to head northbound onto Cedar Street – striking the cyclist with the front passenger door area of the vehicle.

The woman was knocked off her bike, and a customer at the gas station rushed over to help. She was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

“Mission RCMP are releasing details and photos of the vehicle, in hopes that the driver will come forward, or that someone will see the vehicle and provide the license plate information to police,” said the detachment in a release.

The Bronco is described as having white lettering across the top of the rear window, a dent in the right rear fender before the collision, and no front license plate.

Anyone who has seen this vehicle is asked to note the license plate number, call Mission RCMP at 604-826-7161 and quote file number 2026-780.
