49-year-old man facing criminal charges for being impaired Sunday morning – at 2x the legal limit

ABBOTSFORD — Police in Abbotsford say a 49-year-old man is facing criminal charges after he provided a breath sample at nearly twice the legal limit on Sunday morning.

According to a social media post from the Abbotsford Police Department, traffic unit officers stopped a 49-year-old man during regular patrols. The man provided a breath sample of 150 mg, nearly double the legally allowed blood alcohol content.

What was equally shocking was the time it occurred: 9:18 a.m. on a Sunday morning.

“Needless to say, he is facing criminal charges,” AbbyPD said.
