Conservation officers notified about bear seen climbing fence at Stitó:s school in Chilliwack
CHILLIWACK — Personnel from the BC Conservation Officer Service have been notified about a bear that was seen climbing over a fence at Stitó:s Lá:lém Totí:lt elementary-middle school near the Vedder River on Monday morning, Thanksgiving Day.
According to a social media post from Chilliwack resident Lisa Wloch, a black bear was seen climbing over the fence at around 10 a.m. Monday morning.
That same bear was also seen Monday morning, October 9 just behind homes on Kokanee Lane in River’s Edge, a residential subdivision south of Keith Wilson Road not far from the Vedder River.
