BC Wildfire thanks firefighters from Chilliwack, Hope and across BC for help with fire near Lillooet

CHILLIWACK — The BC Wildfire Service has recognized the tremendous assistance offered by firefighters from Chilliwack and Hope and other fire agencies throughout BC as they collectively battle fires within the Bendor Range Complex west of Lillooet.

“We would like to extend gratitude to the various fire departments and local governments that are providing structure protection support while responding to wildfires within the Bendor Range Complex near Lillooet. Structure protection teams work hand in hand with wildfire personnel to protect critical infrastructure and private property as wildfire situations evolve,” BC Wildfire wrote on Facebook Monday, August 28 at 9:32 a.m.

This support includes departments from Chilliwack Fire Department, Chilliwack River Valley Fire Department, Hope Fire Department, and departments from Roberts Creek, Kaleden, Pemberton, Sicamous, Oyster River Fire Rescue, City of Pitt Meadows, Lac La Hache, Dashwood, Grand Forks, Sidney, and Oliver.

“The BC Wildfire Service recognizes and values its long-standing relationship with the structural firefighting community,” BCWS wrote on Facebook.
