BOSTON BAR — The BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure says Highway 1 remains closed between Boston Bar and Lytton due to impacts from the Kookipi Creek wildfire.
According to a brief update posted on its Facebook Monday afternoon, the provincial ministry is working to conduct danger tree and rockfall assessments.
Power line repair work is underway by BC Hydro.
Parts of Highway 1 between Hope and Lytton have been closed since Thursday night when the Kookipi Creek wildfire rapidly spread.
