ABBOTSFORD — A suspect is in custody after being arrested by the Abbotsford Police Department early Tuesday morning (August 22) for possession of an airsoft firearm.
According to a post on X, formerly Twitter, the Abbotsford PD said that its patrol officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of Sandalwood Crescent for the report of a weapons call.
Police did not go into detail on its social media post, but said a suspect who was safely arrested was armed with a airsoft firearm.
Police noted in their post that there are some differences, at first glance, between a 9-millimetre gun and an airsoft replica firearm.
