Family-friendly activities happening Saturday at RCMP open house in Chilliwack

CHILLIWACK — Come for the family-friendly activities and stick around for a hot dog BBQ by donation at the RCMP detachment on Airport Road this Saturday.

The Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment in Chilliwack is pulling out all the stops this weekend as it invites Chilliwack residents to come check out its services and police activities for a family-friendly open house.

“The Chilliwack RCMP is hosting a free family-friendly Open House event and we’d love for you to come!” RCMP Sgt. Krista Vrolyk said. “We want to connect with the community and showcase some of the different police tools, techniques and resources we use to keep our community safe. This event will feature detachment tours, face painting, photo ops, and opportunities to see inside a police car. We look forward to connecting with the community we serve.”
