Chilliwack residents invited to experience Mozart’s Requiem at St. James on Oct. 29
CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack residents are invited to experience an intimate evening of sacred music in the gorgeous acoustic setting of St. James Catholic Church in Abbotsford when the Chilliwack Symphony Orchestra presents Mozart’s Requieum on Saturday, October 29 at 7 p.m.
Members of Belle Voci, a celebrated, friendly and approachable Canadian vocal ensemble who are passionate about working together to produce powerful and moving musical experiences, will perform alongside the Chilliwack Symphony Orchestra Baroque Ensemble.
The Chilliwack Symphony Orchestra has developed an exemplary reputation for putting on concerts throughout the Lower Mainland and has formed countless collaborations with artists of both local and international renown.
Tapping into the beginnings of western music, Belle Voci frequently performs music written for the sacred sphere. From the iconic and ethereal high C of Allegri’s Miserere to Palestrina’s Sicut Cervus and beyond, the beauty of this music has touched the hearts of men and women of all generations.
