Still no sign of Mission man who left his residential care facility: RCMP

MISSION — One year after his reported disappearance, despite an extensive investigation, authorities still don’t know the whereabouts of Darion Parker or whether he’s in a safe place.

Parker, now 24 years old, was reported missing on July 7, 2024, after he did not return to his residential care facility in Mission the day before. Since that time, Mission RCMP say they have been conducting an extensive investigation into his whereabouts.

Police say two prior media releases led to multiple tips from members of the public, but none actually led to Darion being located. Mounties say Parker suffers from various mental health issues, and his family is very concerned for his well-being.

Police say they are hoping that a renewed call for assistance from the public, as well as an updated photo of Parker, will help to generate additional information to help investigators locate Darion and confirm he is okay.
