CHILLIWACK — Multiple Chilliwack RCMP units responded to Little Mountain late Friday after night after a truck rolled over.

According to pictures and witness descriptions provided by Chilliwack resident Sara Kerkhoff, police were called to Yale Road in front of Kent’s Ice Cream Co. (47582 Yale Road) after a truck rolled over. Road conditions were slick at the time of the crash due to intermittent showers that had fallen Friday evening.

Kerkhoff says there were no fire engines or ambulances present when she witnessed the crash scene. Scanner traffic for Chilliwack was quiet in the minutes after the crash was reported on social media by Kerkhoff.

“We came up on the accident about 10:20 pm.” Kerkhoff told Fraser Valley Today at 10:50 p.m. Friday night. “It had just happened. Another woman had seen a person running from the scene; the truck was empty. Cops arrived, and are searching for the person with the dog.”

The truck wound up facing westbound in the eastbound lane. It’s not immediately known if there any injuries associated with the rollover.
