
Langley RCMP arrest 37-year-old man for alleged assault of a nurse, suspect already released
LANGLEY — Mounties in Langley say they’re investigating an alleged assault on a nurse at Langley Memorial Hospital that happened earlier this month.
According to a statement from Langley RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Zynal Sharoom, police responded to the report of an assault in progress on Saturday, March 8 at about 12:15 a.m.
On March 8, 2025 at approximately 12:15 am, Langley RCMP responded to a report of an assault in progress at the Langley Memorial Hospital. Responding officers arrived and located hospital security personnel who had engaged with a suspect who had allegedly physically assaulted a nurse and produced an edged weapon.
Police say a 37-year-old Surrey man was arrested for assault and assault with a weapon. Sgt. Sharoom says the suspect has been released from police custody to appear in court at a later date.
