Run for Hope slated for Oct. 1
HOPE — The Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation (FVHCF) and the auxiliary to the Fraser Canyon Hospital will be hosting Run for Hope—an annual 5K run/walk loop starting and finishing at the Fraser Canyon Hospital.
Liz Harris, executive director of FVHCF, said the event is family-friendly, and participants will experience a “stunning” route.
“We are happy to see that the trail along the Coquihalla has been repaired from last year’s flood damage,” Harris said. “We use the route not only for its beauty but also because people of all abilities can do it. We have seen runners, dog walkers, and strollers; Garrison Running Co. will be guiding the participants.”
The path will be a mix of road and trail along the Coquihalla River and through Thacker Park that will be accessible for any age or ability.
