VANCOUVER — Post-Christmas travel between the Fraser Valley and the B.C. Interior could be challenging due to a storm forecasted to drop up to 15 cm of snow on Thursday (Dec. 26).
Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Coquihalla Highway between Hope and Merritt.
The agency warns motorists that approximately 15 cm of snow is expected to accumulate from Thursday morning to Thursday night.
A low-pressure system is expected to move through the region in the morning, producing snow in its wake. The heaviest snowfall is anticipated around noon. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times during heavy snow.
