LANGLEY — Homicide investigators in B.C. have taken conduct of an investigation surrounding a missing 34-year-old woman who was reported missing in November.

According to a statement IHIT spokesperson Sgt. Freda Fong, the family of Chantelle Moore reported her missing to the Surrey RCMP on November 18, 2024 after they had not heard from her for a prolonged period of time. Due to what IHIT says was a robust investigation led by Mounties in Surrey and Langley, investigators have determined that Moore was last seen at a hotel in Langley and no one has heard from her since late October.

Sgt. Fong says what was initially a missing person investigation has now been transferred to IHIT due to recent information suggesting her disappearance is suspicious.

Sgt. Fong says a myriad of questions remain unanswered surrounding her disappearance.
