No need to wait until New Year’s, as Chilliwack bakery holds Oliebollen Fest this weekend

CHILLIWACK — You don’t have to wait until New Year’s to get your hands on a deep-fried delectable Dutch treat this weekend in Chilliwack.

Benanna Bakery owners Travis and Rebecca Neels invite the community to join them for their annual Oliebollen Fest on Saturday, Nov. 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 8985 Young Road in Chilliwack.

Benanna Bakery will have plenty of oliebollen, a special treat topped with powdered sugar, for sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

There will be free oliebollen samples for people to see why they’re such a cherished treat, free kids activities like free face painting, as well as free cookie decorating so that families can bring their own gingerbread men home.
